A match for her girls... Carole Middleton, the mother of the bride

By REBECCA ENGLISH

Two of a kind: Carole and Pippa Middleton kept in step as they wore almost identical outfits when they indulged in a spot of retail therapy in Chelsea

At 56, she has the slim, athletic figure of a woman half her age.

So perhaps this goes some way to explaining why Carole Middleton has started to dress like her children.

Prince William’s future mother-in-law and her younger daughter Pippa, 27, wore almost identical outfits as they ventured out for a shopping trip in Chelsea.

Both women sported smart navy jackets over casual above-the-knee blue and white patterned skirts.

While Pippa opted for a belted trench coat from Marks & Spencer, her mother wore a smart blazer thought to be from upmarket High Street label Joseph, teaming it with a Nicole Farhi skirt and Jaeger bag.

Spot the difference: Mrs Middleton wore a coat from upmarket High Street store Joseph, while her younger daughter opted for a Marks and Spencer's trench coat

Their ensembles were completed with flat black boots – a buckled biker-style that stopped just below the knee for Mrs Middleton, and a ruched pair from LK Bennett for her daughter, similar to the ones favoured by 29-year-old Kate.

While it is clear where the Middleton girls get their athletic physiques from, onlookers questioned whether Mrs Middleton’s outfit was a little too youthful and might have been more appropriate with a pair of low-heeled court shoes.

The mother of the bride also looked slightly drawn, which could be down to the strain of wedding preparations or her conversion to the controversial Dukan Diet, based on high-protein foods such as cottage cheese and prawns.

Pippa Middleton also visited the flower stand on Fulham Road, which was once frequented by the Princess of Wales during Monday's shopping trip

Mrs Middleton and Pippa have been indulging in an increasing amount of retail therapy as the April 29 wedding draws closer.

On Monday they spent several hours browsing high-end designer stores, including Jimmy Choo and Prada.

Pippa, who will be Kate’s chief bridesmaid, also visited the flower stand on Fulham Road once frequented by the Princess of Wales.

Britney Spears is Apocalypse Wow as she teases fans with a sneak peek of her Till The World Ends video

By GEORGINA LITTLEJOHN

**MAIL ONLINE VIDEOGRABS** Britney Spears - "Till The World Ends" 30 Second Sneak Peek

If Mad Max was turned into a musical then this is probably what it would look like.
But it's actually the new video - or some of it, at least - for Britney Spear's latest single Till The End.

And with its dingy underground scenes, grungy-looking cast and meteors falling all around, the pop princess has managed to capture that end of the world feel perfectly.

It is Britney's second comeback single, taken off her new album Femme Fatale, which was released four weeks ago and made the top ten in the US within days.

But a month on and the pop star has yet to release a video to accompany the song - not in full anyway.

The 29-year-old released a 30-second teaser on her official YouTube account yesterday, ahead of the world premiere of the video tomorrow.

It's Britney, b**ch: The pop star tousles her blonde wavy hair as she sings seductively to the camera...

... before launching into a solo dance routine in front of a gold disc wall

And it got her fans excited at her sexy comeback which sees her flicking her long blonde hair back and forth as she gyrates and pouts at the camera.

Surrounded by grungy-looking dancers in ripped vests, biker boots and denim shorts, Britney is back doing what she does best with an electrifying dance routine.

Set against a dirt basement backdrop, the Southern Belle looked every inch the rock chick in ripped tights, a black bodysuit, a Burberry Prorsum studded leather jacket and matching fingerless leather gloves.

Leather studded Spears: Britney is every inch the rock chick as she gets up close and personal with a male dancer

The uptempo dance-pop and electropop song with a chant-like chorus has Britney singing about dancing until the end of the world.

It was written for Britney by fellow chart-topper Kesha who said she was imagining Spears and any other female musician touring the world.

She said: 'When you go out, and you're having an amazing, magical night and you don't want to go to sleep and you want it to last until the world ends.'

Apocalypse now: Meteors litter the sky destroying everything in their path...

... but the pop princess just wants to keep dancing
The premiere of the video tomorrow will also include a choreography cut, which features more dancing and a director's cut, which focuses more on the apocalyptic storyline.

Britney spoke about making the video and said she was really pleased with the way it turned out even though she found the experience quite dirty

She said: 'The set was a little much. It was grimy and it was gross and it felt like there was poop everywhere when there really wasn't, it was just sweat everywhere.

To the left, to the right: Britney and her dancers strut around the makeshift stage

'It was disgusting sometimes. It was a bit much, yeah. (But) I toughed it out... It was fun, it was a lot of fun.'

She also revealed that she had to swap her high heeled boots for flat Uggs for the close-up scenes as she was in discomfort.

Britney's old friend Christina Aguilera came out in praise of her former Mickey Mouse Club co-star yesterday and said even though she has yet to hear Femma Fatale in its entirety, she is a huge supporter of the singer.

And although she didn't mention her sister, the younger Spears girl, Jamie Lynn, took to her Twitter page yesterday as she celebrated her 20th birthday, and posted a pic of her with a birthday cake.

Back in his owner's arms, the tsunami dog who survived three weeks at sea on wrecked house

Back where she belongs: The plucky dog was finally reunited with her owner, who alerted police after spotting her on TV

The lucky dog rescued from a roof drifting off Japanese coast for three weeks after the tsunami has finally been reunited with her owner.

Members of the Japan Coast Guard spotted the stricken pet - who had drifted nearly 2km offshore - during an aerial search of the area.

The two-year-old dog, called Ban, had an emotional reunion with her female owner after the woman spotted her on television.

Ban had survived for three weeks after the tsunami when coastguards spotted her while searching at sea for human survivors.

She was found drifting some 1.8km (1.1 miles) off Kesennuma, Miyagi prefecture, one of the Japanese areas hit worst by the disaster.

Local television showed showed pictures of the dog scampering around the roof of the house before it disappeared inside through a hole in the roof.

The emotional reunion came after the dog survived for three weeks on its own out at sea

It is thought the roof had become detached and washed out to sea by receding waters from the tsunami, which struck northeast Japan on March 11.

Her owner recognised the dog on TV and alerted authorities, who reunited woman and pet yesterday.

The pair were reunited at an animal care centre where the dog was being looked after.
The dog's owner, a woman who did not wish to be named, said: 'We'll never let go of her.

Against all odds: The dog appears to have survived by clinging to a house that had been swept away by the massive earthquake and tsunami that struck on March 11

'I saw the rescue on the news, and knew it was her. I knew her right away, from her face.'

Toshiro Suzuki, head of the animal shelter, said: 'I'm happy for the reunion, after they were separated by the disaster.'

Justin Bieber decided to give his mother a special birthday treat by presenting her with a cake on stage, but it all went terribly wrong when her hair caught on fire.

The teen sensation surprised his mother Pattie while on tour in Berlin when he asked her to come out on stage.

‘Mum, where are you?’ He said in front of thousands of screaming fans and encouraged her to step out from backstage.

Pattie mouthed ‘Oh my god! Thank you.’ As her son said: ‘This is for you, and I need everyone to sing happy birthday.’

But as the crowd belted out the song and Pattie started to blow out her birthday cake candles, her hair suddenly caught on fire from one of the flames.

Happy birthday! Pattie held onto her cake to blow out the candles but one of the flames caught a hold of her hair

Justin quickly jumped to his mother’s rescue though and caught the flame in his hand to put it out.

After the incident the singer posted on his Twitter page: ‘Sick show in Berlin brought @studiomama on stage 2 sing her happy bday but she lit her hair on fire with the candles. Lol. I saved her.

‘Don’t worry it wasn’t bad.’

The Canadian-born singer then headed to McDonalds to grab a quick bite from the fast food giant.

Now I'm the famous one: Katie Price lets Leandro lead as they take their PDA-filled romance to Buenos Aires

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

I'm famous where I come from: Leandro Penna shows Katie Price around his native Buenos Aires

During their whirlwind romance, pictures of Katie Price and her new man Leandro Penna putting on public displays of affection have become commonplace.

And the couple continued their canoodling in Argentina, where Katie arrived yesterday to meet up with her toyboy.

But there was once subtle difference in the pair's actions as they stepped out for lunch and some shopping in Buenos Aires - Leandro, usually trailing behind, was the one taking charge.

Double the love: The couple (and their mirror image) only have eyes for each other during a shopping trip

While the 25-year-old model was virtually unknown in the UK before becoming Katie's arm candy, he is just as famous as his reality star girlfriend back home.

And while he was happy to let Price, 32, take the lead on nights out and at events in London during his extended stay, Leandro is clearly more comfortable to play the alpha male on his native soil.

Getting serious: Katie has jetted to Argentina to meet up with the model, who says he wants her to meet his family

He confidently strode ahead of Katie as they left a show store in the Argentinian capital, and for once Katie also appeared happy to take a back seat as she clutched Leandro's hand.

Inside the store the reality star perched on her boyfriend's knee and wrapped her arm around his shoulders as they cuddled and whispered in each other's ears.

Katie wore a pair of loud black and white leggings with a crochet black knit top over a white vest for their day out.

Her trip to Leandro's home turf won't be all shopping and long lunches, though.
He revealed his plans to introduce Katie to his family in this week's OK! magazine.

Dream date: Leandro treated Katie to lunch and a day of shopping on her first day in his homeland

He went home to Argentina on Thursday and last night, Katie jetted out to the South American country to join him.

And although she is only believed to be there for a week, she was laden down with five suitcases as she jetted out of Heathrow yesterday.

During her trip to South America, she is planning to meet his parents and also explore possible business interests.

Accompanying the model were her Sky Living film crew, who will no doubt capture all the Latin action on-screen for her reality show.

Fall from grace: Kirstie Alley comes crashing down after being dropped by partner Maksim on Dancing With The Stars

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Ouch! The fall was attributed to Maksim, whose thigh gave out during the dance

Kirstie Alley became the first on air-fall victim on Dancing With The Stars last night, when she and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy came crashing down.

Performing a tribute to her late parents, the 60-year-old actress got dropped by Maksim after his thigh gave out to her weight in a muscle spasm.

The couple stayed on the floor for about five seconds at the start of the routine before picking themselves up and continuing their dance.

'My thigh just gave out - I'm so sorry,' Maksim said after the dance was over.

He insisted the fault had nothing to do with Alley: 'Any dancer knows, it has to do with muscle strain,' he said. 'It had nothing to do with her.'

Despite the tumble, Kirstie danced on for the performance which was inspired by the struggle she faced when she was about to get her first big movie role in Star Trek 2, and was told that her mother had been killed by a drunk driver and her dad was in critical condition.

Battling on: The couple stayed on the floor for about five seconds at the start of the routine before picking themselves up and continuing their dance

The theme for the week was 'story week' - where the celebrities each had to chose emotionally-charged songs with a connection to their past.

'This song depicts the most turning point in my life,' Kirstie said during rehearsals. 'The song depicts the hopefulness after the despair.'

To the tune of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, it was clear she had the crowd from the word go who following the performance gave the actress a rousing applause.

Score: And despite the fall, all three gave her a generous seven points each, seemingly touched by her story and the emotion she connected to the dance

And despite the fall technicality, all three judges gave her a generous seven points, seemingly touched by her story and the emotion she connected to the dance.

'Sometimes tragedy leads to amazingly beautiful moments. I think despite the fact you had a mess up at the beginning something magical happened after that and you were so connected to the music.

I think you did a wonderful job,' said Carrie Ann Inaba, struggling to fight back tears.

'Dancing is a bit like life - it's about overcoming adversities and you did that,' exclaimed Len Goodman.

And big Kirstie fan, Bruno Tonioli got off his chair and exclaimed: 'Once you got up it was better than ever!'.

Sexy: There was no doubt that Kendra Wilkinson had shed her tomboy persona she was so concerned with last week with her dance with Louis van Amstel

Too hot to handle: While the 25-year-old was a little clumsy on her footing, her erotic moves got the judges in a fluster

There was no doubt that Kendra Wilkinson had shed her tomboy persona she was so concerned with last week.

The Former Playboy model sizzled in her sexy Rumba with partner Louis Van Amstel that she dedicated to her husband Hank Baskett, who was sitting in the crowd.

While the 25-year-old was a little clumsy on her footing, her erotic moves got the judges in a fluster.

'That was hot, hot, hot - you were celebrating your sensuality,' exclaimed Carrie Ann.

Bruno was equally red-faced: 'Kendra Von Teese - there is nothing to worry about. It was hot and erotic darling.'

As expected Petra Nemocova's performance referred to her heart-breaking experience in the 2004 tsnunami in which the 31-year-old model lost her boyfriend.

She waltzed to You Raise Me Up by Secret Garden with partner Dmitry Chaplin for the people of her Happy Hearts Fund, which helps individuals following natural disasters.

The supermodel who looked stunning in her lilac genie-inspired ensemble, got a standing ovation from the crowd and all three judges who thought it was beautiful.
'It had grace, it had elegance and it had fluid moment... That was brilliant,' said a proud Len.

Bruno was smitten: 'Petra you are like a vision from heaven and you dance like an angel.'

And Carrie Ann said she could feel Petra's emotion: 'Your heart was all over the movement.'

Disney star Chelsea Kane wowed the crowd by not only flaunting her incredible figure in a gold tasselled two-piece, but with her cheeky cha-cha with Mark Ballas.

She danced to a rock song penned by ex-boyfriend titled 'Chelsea', of course.

And after scathing comments about her performance last week, the judges were thrilled.

'Chelsea, Chelsea, sexy, sexy!' exclaimed Bruno.

While Carrie Ann saw the romantic side of the dance: I am a big fan of romance and I am a big fan of that cha-cha!'

Len agreed that it was the 22-year-old's triumph so far: 'That was your best dance, well done.'

Romeo struggled to get through rehearsals with Chelsea Hightower as emotion overcame the 21-year-old rapper, who dedicated his dance to his two deceased cousins.

But while he managed to come through it all for the live performance, all the pulling at heartstrings couldn't save his dance.

Bruno said: "You really put your heart and soul into it. But sometimes when you put yourself into it too much something goes wrong - in this case your foot.'

Len added: 'Last week was a huge step forwards, this week was a huge step back.'

Former NFL player Hines Ward once again was the star of the show scoring the first ever nine of the competition from Carrie Ann.

The Pittsburgh Steelers star performed a lovable samba with partner, Kym Johnson, and dedicated the dance to his mother, who after divorcing Ward's dad took three jobs to support her son.

And again it was another coo as far as the judges were concerned: 'Two-for-the-price-of-one happy hour!' exclaimed Bruno.

Carrie Ann was off her chair: 'Booyah, baby has bounce! You have been dancing this song like you have been dancing this song all your life.'

Even sharp-tongued Len was impressed: 'I am proud of you!.'

Tears were shed when wrestler Chris Jericho did an emotional interpretation of the sexy Rumba for his late mother who died in 2005.

Dancing to Let It Be by The Beatles, the 40-year-old echoed his heartfelt dedication into the dance on the arm of Cheryl Burke.

Carrie Ann once again struggled to get her comments out as fought back tears.

'That was a beautiful tribute to your mom... emotionally amazing,' she said.
Bruno agreed: 'You brought a great sense of warmth.'

Len was more critical about his technique but liked some aspects of the dance: 'The lines and poses that you did were excellent.'

Wendy Williams landed herself in the bottom again after she did the foxtrot to Last Night A DJ Saved My Life.

In her blue sparkly gown she failed to impress all three of the judges.

'I do feel this week we took a little step back and I don't know why' said Carrie Ann.

Len thought the talk show host lacked any fluidity: 'Wendy to be honest it was a struggle, it lacked fluidity.

Ralph Macchio who struggled last week with his scattered jive, once again failed to blow the judges away with his more comfortable rumba.

The Karate Kid actor dedicated his dance to his wife who was sitting in the audience, and while it was sweet, Bruno thought he should be paying more attention to his dance partner Karina Smirnoff, who he believed intimidated the 49-year-old actor.

'You deal with her like she is too hot to handle,' said Bruno.

Len agreed that he looked uncomfortable but thought the performance was refined: 'The whole routine was crisp and clear but it needs a tad of refinement, but as I saw the overall look was appealing.'

But Carrie Ann disagreed with both the men: 'I thought it wa
s a very sweet rumba and you two are coo coo.'

Intent on proving to the judges that he had more 'punch', boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard settled on a dance about beating the odds, alluding to his tempestuous career.

The 54-year-old did the parse double to Bobby Brown's My Prerogative in an energetic performance with partner Anna Trebunskaya.

And their hard work in rehearsals paid off: 'Sugar Ray the fighting spirit got you back in business,' said Bruno.

'I think I saw a lot of improvement!,' exclaimed Carrie Ann. 'You have come out tonight stronger and you fought back!

Hines and Petra got the highest score of 25 and Wendy, the lowest with 15 and another star will leave the competition tomorrow night.

Bend It Like Bieber: Justin puts his football skills to the test in Spain

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Sport prowess: Justin Bieber takes to the football pitch for a game in Spain today

Justin Bieber proved himself to be something of a natural left-foot today as he took to the football pitch.

The teen singer was spotted working up a sweat in a Barcelona FC kit on the outskirts of Madrid in Spain.

After tearing up the AstroTurf for a while the 17-year-old star managed to score a goal as he competed against some local teens

Working up a sweat: The Canadian singer gets into his stride, clad in a Barcelona FC kit

And in true sporting tradition, Justin lifted up his top and bared his chest to celebrate his victory.

Canadian-born Bieber may be more used to soccer back home.

But if he wanted to scrub up on his football knowledge, he could no doubt confide in David Beckham, who is a former Real Madrid player.

Left-foot action: The singer tackles some of his opponents...

He shoots: The 17-year-old then curled the ball towards the goal

In a recent interview Beckham actually name dropped Bieber, saying that his young Romeo asked if they could call their new sibling Justin Bieber.

Beckham, whose wife Victoria is pregnant with their fourth child, was speaking to American chat show host Jimmy Kimmel when he shared the funny story.

He added that when they told Romeo that he was going to have a sister, and not another a brother, the seven-year-old then asked if they could call her Justine Bieber instead.

Bieber has two dates in Spain this week as part of his tour.

He scores: Victory for the Bieber as he hits the back of the net

Meanwhile his girlfriend Selena Gomez has said that she has no plans to duet with him.

The 18-year-old insisted that she would rather keep her personal life and career separate.

Asked if she had considered teaming up with her beau, she told E!: 'I don't know.

You know, with my friends, I always make sure that I try to keep like family and business separate because it doesn't really go well sometimes... I don't know about that. We'll see.'

Gomez added that she hopes to take her career in a different direction when she gets older.

'Ultimately I'd like to slow everything down and just do acting for when I'm older,' she explained.

'But right now I have a passion for music. I'm young and I love travelling and I'm kind of embracing all that.'
